The much-anticipated third installment in the Pushpa franchise has been officially confirmed. Producer Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili of Mythri Movie Makers has revealed that Pushpa 3 – The Rampage is slated for a 2028 release. However, fans will have to wait longer as both Allu Arjun and director Sukumar are engaged in other major projects before work on the film begins.

Speaking at a media event, Ravi Shankar confirmed that filming for Pushpa 3 is expected to begin in 2026, with production extending into 2027. Director Sukumar is currently on a break but will first direct a film starring Ram Charan before returning to the Pushpa franchise. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has two major commitments before he starts work on Pushpa 3,
- A high-profile action film directed by Atlee
- A fantasy-based project tentatively titled God of War, directed by Trivikram Srinivas
Both films are expected to take nearly three years to complete. Once these projects wrap up, Pushpa 3 will go into production.

The Pushpa franchise has been a massive success, with Pushpa 2 – The Rule grossing approximately Rs 1,750 crore worldwide, making it one of India’s highest-grossing films.
