Sampath Nandi’s Next Production Shanarthi Launched with Akhil Raj and Naga Durga

Sampath Nandi Teamworks, the production house owned by blockbuster filmmaker Sampath Nandi, is gearing up for its second production venture. The film is being made in association with passionate producer KV Sridhar Reddy of Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions and is presented by Aditya Movies. Titled “Shanarthi,” the project brings together an exciting young team and promises to explore the richness of Telangana culture.

Akhil Raj and Naga Durga in Lead Roles

Young actor Akhil Raj, who impressed audiences with Raju Weds Rambai, will be seen as the male lead. Popular Telangana folk singer and performer Naga Durga is making her presence felt as the female lead. Known for her lively performances in several popular Telangana folk songs, she is also part of the upcoming film Idupu Kayitham.

Sampath Nandi’s Protégé Turns Director

Raj Ganesh Uppunooti, a protégé of Sampath Nandi, is making his directorial debut with Shanarthi. With a promising young cast and crew, the film is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Telangana-rooted storytelling.

What Does ‘Shanarthi’ Mean?

The title “Shanarthi” carries a strong Telangana connection. Traditionally used as a form of greeting, the word is a rustic, rural way of saying “Namaskaram.” The unique title itself hints at the film’s cultural backdrop.

The title poster features two hands holding each other, with one hand covered in turmeric yellow and the other painted in striking red. The contrasting colours create a vibrant visual while symbolising connection, tradition and togetherness. The tagline “A Tale of Culture” further hints at the film’s focus on Telangana traditions and cultural roots.

Shanarthi Officially Launched

The film was officially launched today at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad, in the presence of prominent film personalities and the core team. Music for the movie is being composed by Suresh Bobbili.

With Akhil Raj and Naga Durga leading the cast, Raj Ganesh Uppunooti making his directorial debut and Sampath Nandi backing the project, Shanarthi has already created curiosity among Telugu cinema audiences. The film’s unique title and Telangana cultural backdrop make it a project to watch out for.
