Sankranti Race Begins: Sharwa-Sreenu Vaitla’s George Krish Launched

Sharwanand and Sreenu Vaitla come together for the first time, with George Krish officially launched and scheduled for January 14, 2027.

Charming Star Sharwanand is gearing up for an exciting new journey with director Sreenu Vaitla. The duo is collaborating for the first time for the upcoming film George Krish, which was officially launched today with a grand pooja ceremony.

The film is presented by ATV and backed by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments, with Anil Sunkara and co-producer Ajay Sunkara associated with the project.

George Krish Locks Sankranti 2027

The makers have announced January 14, 2027 as the release date, placing the film firmly in the Sankranti race. Sharwanand has a strong connection with the festive season, having previously entertained audiences with films such as Shatamanam Bhavati, Express Raja, and Nari Nari Naduma Murari.

The title poster adds to the curiosity surrounding the film. Its colourful traditional patterns, stylised hourglass and handwritten-style title create a distinctive visual identity. A tiny romantic silhouette of Sharwanand and the heroine is also cleverly featured in the artwork.

Sreenu Vaitla Returns With a Fresh Hero

Known for his trademark entertainment and commercial storytelling, Sreenu Vaitla is now teaming up with Sharwanand for the first time. The combination has already generated interest, with fans waiting to see what kind of entertainer the filmmaker and actor will deliver.

Star-Studded Technical Team

The project has brought together an experienced technical crew. KV Guhan is handling cinematography, while Anup Rubens is composing the music. Avinash Kolla is taking care of production design and Amar Reddy Kudumula is serving as the editor.

The writing team includes Nandu Savirigana and Gopi Mohan, further strengthening the film’s entertainment quotient.

Distributors Revealed on Launch Day

In another interesting move, the makers have announced the film’s worldwide theatrical distributors on the launch day itself. Such an early distribution announcement has added another talking point around the project.
