After the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise in 2021, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna have kicked off promotions for the much-awaited sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The first installment became a sensation with its iconic songs like Srivalli, Oo Antava, and Saami Saami. Fans have eagerly waited three years, and the sequel is set to deliver another blockbuster experience. Scheduled for a worldwide release in December 2024, the movie has already created a buzz among audiences.
Rashmika Mandanna’s National Award Aspirations
Allu Arjun won a National Award for his role in Pushpa: The Rise. Rashmika Mandanna, who played Srivalli, now aims for the same honor with Pushpa 2. While attending the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Rashmika provided updates on the film. She revealed that Allu Arjun, director Sukumar, and music composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) are hard at work in Hyderabad, completing the post-production phase. Representing the film at the event, Rashmika said, “I hope I do a good job.” When asked about her chances of winning a National Award for Pushpa 2, Rashmika crossed her fingers and replied, “Hopefully,” showcasing her optimism.

The promotional campaign for Pushpa 2 began in Patna with a well-received trailer launch. Events in Chennai and Kochi followed, where the team teased a romantic song, Peelings. Promotions will continue in Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. At a recent event, Allu Arjun praised Rashmika, calling her his “home,” and expressed disappointment over Fahadh Faasil’s absence.
What to Expect from Pushpa 2
Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers, the film features Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil reprising their roles. Advance bookings in India will start on November 30, and the film is already generating excitement overseas. Pushpa 2 aims to rival the records set by Jawan and KGF: Chapter 2.
