After completing the shoot in Koraput district, Odisha, Rajamouli took time off for a solo trek to Deomali, the highest peak in the state.

Sharing his experience on social media, Rajamouli described the breathtaking views from the mountain’s summit. He called Deomali “stunning” and expressed how mesmerized he was by its natural beauty. However, his joy was short-lived. The director was disheartened by the litter-strewn trails. He noted that trekkers had left behind garbage, tarnishing the pristine surroundings.
In his post, he urged visitors to show civic responsibility by carrying back their waste. He emphasized that a small act of cleanliness could help preserve such beautiful natural wonders. “A little civic sense can make a huge difference… Every visitor should carry back their waste to help protect these places,” he wrote.

Prior to his trek, Rajamouli had been busy filming key action sequences for SSMB29 in the Koraput region. The shoot covered scenic locations like Mali, Putsil, and Balda, near Similiguda. The local Self-Help Groups (SHGs) warmly welcomed the director and his team. After the shoot, hundreds of fans gathered to meet Rajamouli, presenting him with handmade gifts as a token of appreciation.
