An Honorable Role

Rashmika spoke about the honor of playing Maharani Yesubai, wife of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. She shared her disbelief at being offered such a significant role, saying, “As someone from the South, getting the chance to play Maharani Yesubai is the most privileged and special opportunity of my life. I told Laxman sir that after this, I feel content enough to retire.”

The actress also revealed how deeply the trailer impacted her, adding, “I’m not someone who usually cries, but this trailer choked me up. Vicky Kaushal looks divine; he’s truly Chhaava.”

I decided to completely surrender to his vision. There were rehearsals for language and other aspects, but I trusted the team and gave my all. To portray such a majestic personality, I knew I had to break barriers within myself.”
