‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was released in June this year. Dulquer Salmaan had shot for his cameo in January. In his latest interview, the Mollywood superstar said that, till the movie’s release, he was unsure that his portion would make it to the final cut.
DQ happened to express his interest in doing the film after visiting its sets sometime last year. Director Nag Ashwin himself didn’t assure him of any role. When the opportunity came to DQ and he shot for a scene, he didn’t know the place of his role in the story.
After the release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, there were fan theories that DQ would make a comeback in the second part in a much bigger role. There were theories that he would be seen as an incarnation of Parasurama in ‘Kalki 2’. They were dismissed by director Nag Ashwin.
DQ is waiting for the theatrical release of ‘Lucky Baskhar’. The film will arrive at the cinemas on October 31st. He is promoting the con-man drama in Hyderabad. The film is directed by Venky Atluri.
