Participating in a round-table with distributors/producers from different parts of the country, D Suresh Babu said that the openings that a Pawan Kalyan movie directed by a major filmmaker (if and when it happens) are going to be massive. “Even when it is a small director, Pawan Kalyan’s films take huge openings,” Suresh Babu said.
Pawan Kalyan is one Tollywood superstar who hasn’t worked with most of the major Telugu filmmakers: SS Rajamouli, Sukumar, Koratala Siva. He hasn’t worked with new-age filmmakers like Tharun Bhascker either.
‘OG’ enjoys sky-high buzz. It is expected to become a fascinating hit in Telugu and Hindi. Its director, Sujeeth Reddy, is neither a superstar filmmaker nor a new-age director who has displayed consistency.
The actor-politician has teamed up with Samuthirakani (‘BRO’), Bobby Kolli (‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’), Dolly (‘Katamarayudu’), Saagar K Chandra (‘Bheemla Nayak’), and Venu Sriram (‘Vakeel Saab’), but not with an Atlee, a Lokesh Kanagaraj, or a Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
