Vijay Fans Face Another Disappointing Phase

The beginning of 2026 has turned out to be a frustrating period for Thalapathy Vijay fans. Much-anticipated film Jana Nayagan was originally scheduled for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026. However, due to ongoing legal issues, the release has been put on hold, and there is still no official clarity on when the film will hit theatres.

Amid this uncertainty, fans found some relief in the planned re-release of Theri. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under the V Creations banner, the film was initially set for a Sankranti re-release on January 15, 2026. It was later postponed to January 23 to avoid clashing with other Sankranti releases. Despite the delay, fans were happy at the prospect of watching a Vijay film on the big screen once again.

Unfortunately, that excitement was short-lived. The re-release of Theri has now been postponed yet again. This decision came after the makers of Hotspot 2 and Draupathi 2 requested Thanu to move the release, as their films are scheduled for the same period. Respecting their request, the producer agreed to postpone Theri.

With Jana Nayagan facing uncertainty and Theri delayed once more, Vijay fans are left disappointed, with no immediate theatrical release to look forward to.
