FUJIFILM India partnered with the Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation to launch a powerful CSR initiative focused on breast cancer awareness. They titled the campaign ‘Find It Early, Fight It Early’ and designed it to educate women across India about the importance of early breast cancer detection.

Upasana Kamineni KonidelaVice Chairperson of CSR at Apollo Hospitals Foundation, extended her full support and now leads the campaign as its official ambassador.

Empowering Women Through Early Detection

The campaign started with a goal to reach over 1.5 lakh women across 24 Indian cities, especially in rural and underserved areas. These communities often experience silence and stigma around women’s health, which leads to late diagnoses and low survival rates.

Trained educators now conduct on-ground workshops, health risk assessments, and awareness sessions to help women understand how early detection can save lives.

Upasana emphasized that healthcare leaders must focus not only on treatment but also on prevention, education, and timely care. She said, “Too many women still lack awareness about the risks. If we help them recognize the signs early and encourage regular checks, we can prevent suffering and save more lives.”

FUJIFILM India Drives Health Equity With Technology

Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director of FUJIFILM India, explained that the campaign reflects the company’s broader vision of “Giving Our World More Smiles.” He stressed that early diagnosis plays a key role in improving health outcomes.

FUJIFILM India continues to use its healthcare technology and strong community partnerships to bring life-saving information directly to the women who need it most. The company actively follows its Sustainable Value 2030 Plan, which prioritizes better healthcare access and equity across India.

India Needs Urgent Breast Cancer Awareness

The National Cancer Registry Program by ICMR reports that breast cancer accounts for nearly 14% of all cancers in Indian women, with 1 in 29 women at risk of developing it during her lifetime. Unfortunately, many women still receive a diagnosis too late because fear, stigma, and lack of awareness prevent early action.

The ‘Find It Early, Fight It Early’ campaign aims to break this silence and empower women. It promotes open conversations, teaches self-examination techniques, and encourages timely medical consultation.

With passionate leaders like Upasana Kamineni Konidela driving the mission, this campaign promises to bring real change where it matters most, right at the community level.
