Renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli has been accused of harassment and betrayal by Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao, who claims to have been his close friend for over three decades. Srinivasa Rao released a video and a letter, alleging that Rajamouli was responsible for his personal and professional struggles. He even stated that the filmmaker drove him to contemplate suicide.
Srinivasa Rao’s Allegations
In his video, Srinivasa Rao claimed that his 34-year friendship with Rajamouli was ruined due to a love triangle. According to him, both he and Rajamouli developed feelings for the same woman. Rajamouli allegedly asked him to sacrifice his love, and though he initially refused, he later stepped back for the sake of their friendship. However, he accused Rajamouli of turning against him, suspecting that he had disclosed the situation to others.
Srinivasa Rao further alleged that Rajamouli mentally harassed him and damaged his career after becoming successful. He claimed that they worked together until the 2007 film Yamadonga, but after that, Rajamouli cut ties with him and ruined his life.
“I am 55 years old and still single because of Rajamouli. He destroyed my life and career. I have no option but to die by suicide,” Srinivasa Rao stated in his emotional video. He also urged the police to conduct a lie detector test on Rajamouli to prove his claims.
Serious Accusations Against Rajamouli
Apart from alleging mental torture, Srinivasa Rao made a shocking claim that Rajamouli used black magic to suppress his industry rivals. He also insisted that Rajamouli’s wife, Rama Rajamouli, played a role in his troubles.
“I request the police to investigate and deliver justice,” he appealed.
Rajamouli’s Silence on the Matter
As the allegations spread across media platforms, Rajamouli and his team have not yet responded. The filmmaker is currently busy with his next project, an action-adventure film starring Mahesh Babu, with rumors suggesting Priyanka Chopra may also be part of the cast.
While some believe Srinivasa Rao’s claims lack evidence, others argue that the matter should be thoroughly investigated. Whether these accusations hold any truth remains to be seen.
