Ram Charan vs Jr NTR: 2026 Gears Up for a Mega Clash with Peddi and NTRNeel

Indian cinema is gearing up for a blockbuster-filled 2026 as two of the biggest stars lock in their release dates. Ram Charan’s Peddi will hit theatres on March 27, 2026 (Sri Rama Navami), while Jr NTR’s power-packed film NTRNeel will arrive on June 25, 2026 (Muharram).

With both projects carrying sky-high expectations, fans have already begun counting down to a cinematic face-off. And this is just the beginning, more major films will join the 2026 lineup soon.

Ram Charan’s Peddi Brings Grit and Emotion to the Big Screen

Director Buchi Babu Sana created Peddi as a raw and emotional sports drama that blends real-life and fictional village stories. He wrote the story during the COVID-19 lockdown and shared it first with filmmaker Sukumar, who instantly suggested pitching it to Ram Charan. The actor heard the script once, made a few minor tweaks, and immediately agreed to do the film.

The teaser for Peddi, released on Ram Navami, exploded online. It shows Ram Charan walking onto a dusty field, lighting a beedi, and saying, “I have only one life to live, and I want to make the most of it.” The teaser ends with a powerful cricket shot, setting the tone for an intense rural sports drama. The team locked March 27, 2026 as the release date.

The film features music by AR Rahman and visuals captured by Rathnavelu. The star-studded cast includes Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu, and Jagapathi Babu. Mythri Movie Makers, Vriddhi Cinemas, and Sukumar Writings are jointly producing the project. After recovering from cancer, Shiva Rajkumar will soon join the shoot. The team has already wrapped up two production schedules and is moving ahead at full speed.

Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel Set the Stage with NTRNeel

Jr NTR recently confirmed that his high-voltage action film NTRNeel, directed by Prashanth Neel, will release on June 25, 2026. He shared the date on his X handle with the message, “See you in cinemas on 25 June 2026. #NTRNeel.”

Although the makers haven’t revealed the story yet, insiders expect a mass-loaded entertainer with grand visuals—on par with Neel’s blockbuster KGF series. Jr NTR takes on this project after the massive success of Devara: Part 1, which earned big numbers in India and found love in Japan as well.

NTRNeel is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, with support from Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili, and Hari Krishna Kosaraju. With this star-director combo, fans expect fireworks on screen.
