Well, a lot of people have never been happy about this guy being lionized and romanticized. He is basically a criminal enterprise, right? It was a big deal when Allu Arjun won a National Award for this problematic character. People were like, “Are you kidding me? A National Award for playing a criminal?” Pawan Kalyan has now taken an open dig at the character without invoking the film’s name.
Power Star has weighed in with his critique. In a passing utterance on August 8th, he said that gone are the days when cinema heroes used to be like good-natured jungle kings, protecting the forest. He lamented that it is now considered cool to play someone who is all about cutting down trees.
