Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan today criticized Tamil actor Karthi in an unexpected way. Karthi, the lead actor in the upcoming film ‘Sathyam Sundaram’, was in Hyderabad on Monday for a promotional event. During the event, a meme about a laddu was displayed on screen. Karthi was expected to give a humorous response. To steer clear of controversies, he avoided the topic. In response to Karthi’s light-hearted comment about laddu being a “sensitive topic”, Pawan Kalyan today expressed his disappointment with Karthi’s remark, saying that such “words” shouldn’t be spoken. Perhaps, PK disagrees with the tone in which Karthi said that “Laddu is a sensitive topic”.
Prakash Raj recently accused Pawan Kalyan of fomenting communal divisions over the Tirupati Laddu issue. The Deputy CM of AP today said that the film industry should not make light of the issue. “I didn’t criticize any religion. I am speaking up because the faith of Hindus has been disrespected. When a sacrilege has happened, shouldn’t we question? I have great respect for Prakash Raj, but he must remember that secularism is a two-way street, not a one-way street. I respect both Islam and Christianity,” PK said.
