NBK–Koratala Siva Film Gets Major Clarity Amid Cancellation Rumours

The rumours surrounding Nandamuri Balakrishna and Koratala Siva’s upcoming film have finally been cleared. Despite reports claiming that the project had been shelved, the makers have confirmed that NBK112 is very much on track.

The film, which marks the much-awaited combination of Balakrishna and Koratala Siva, had recently come under speculation after Balakrishna’s ongoing NBK111 faced a delay due to the actor’s injury. With the schedule pushed back, reports suggested that Koratala might move on to another project.

Putting an end to the buzz, the team issued an official statement asking everyone not to believe the rumours. The makers clarified that the project will proceed as planned and that shooting will begin once Balakrishna completes NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni.

Koratala Siva reportedly developed the project after his plans for Devara 2 were pushed further due to NTR’s existing commitments. He then approached Balakrishna with a new story, which impressed the actor. The project was officially launched on June 25, 2026, with shooting initially expected to begin in August.

However, Balakrishna’s injury during the shoot of NBK111 changed the planned schedule and led to uncertainty over Koratala’s next move. This eventually triggered speculation that the director could take up another film before returning to the Balakrishna project.

The latest clarification has now put those reports to rest. NBK112 is still happening, and Koratala Siva is expected to begin work on the film once Balakrishna wraps up NBK111.
