Nara Rohit’s movies are coterminous with Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s tryst with power. Rohit acted in a lot of movies from 2014 to 2018 or so. And then, he stayed away from acting for five years. ‘Sundarakanda’, incidentally, is coming out in theatres just months after Naidu returned to power in June this year.
The co-incidence has led to speculations. Rohit on Monday (August 26th) addressed them in his own style. “I must thank the producers of ‘Sundarakanda’ for discovering that TDP would be coming to power eight months earlier (before elections),” Rohit said wittily. In other words, the film went on the floors much before TDP swept the AP Assembly elections.
When a scribe described ‘Prathinidhi 2’ (his pre-election release) as a hit, Rohit turned brutally honest. “Nobody even knew it got released in theatres,” the actor said, much to everyone’s surprise.
