The film is all set to start streaming on ZEE5 from September 13th. It will be available in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada.
Directed by Suman Kumar, ‘Raghu Thatha’ has the ‘Mahanati’ actress as Kayalvizhi, a “strong-willed woman navigating the complexities of language politics, gender roles, and personal convictions in modern India”.
Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, has bankrolled the movie. “We aimed to entertain and spark meaningful discussions about language politics and gender roles. I’m excited to see how audiences connect with the story,” the film’s director has been quoted as saying.

What did the film critics community say about the movie upon its theatrical release? “Keerthy Suresh stands tall in this light-hearted satire,” The Hindu opined. India Today, however, said, “The film is ruined by excessive spoon-feeding.” Hindustan Times, too, gave a mixed review, opining that the film elicits laughs but is a tiresome watch.
