Director Nag Ashwin recently shared an update on the shoot schedule for Kalki 2898 AD Part 2. While the script is ready, the team is waiting for “bulk dates” from the four lead actors to start filming. The shooting is expected to commence by mid-2025, and the movie is tentatively planned for release by the end of 2026.
Earlier, producers Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt revealed in an interview with News18 (August 2024) that filming was planned to start in January or February 2025. This timeline aligns with the five-to-six-month window they mentioned. However, it now seems that the production might face slight delays, depending on the finalization of dates with the lead actors.

Swapna Dutt expressed her excitement about working on part two. She revealed that the team has a clearer vision for this installment, thanks to the positive reception of part one. Prabhas has several major projects in progress. He is currently involved in post-production work for The Raja Saab, set to release this April. He is also working on Fauji with director Hanu Raghavapudi and Salaar 2. Additionally, his collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for Spirit is yet to begin.
