Dhanush Leads ‘Kalam’ as APJ Abdul Kalam in Om Raut’s Biopic, Film Launches at Cannes

Actor Dhanush takes on the iconic role of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, India’s beloved “Missile Man” and former President, in the upcoming biopic ‘Kalam’. The makers unveiled the film at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, positioning it as a powerful tribute to one of India’s greatest visionaries. Om Raut, the National Award-winning director behind Tanhaji and Adipurush, directs the project. Abhishek Agarwal Arts and T-Series back this ambitious film.

Om Raut Brings Kalam’s Story to Life

Om Raut clarified that the film will go far beyond a traditional political biography. He aims to trace Kalam’s inspiring journey from his humble roots in Rameswaram to his rise as India’s 11th President. Raut emphasized Kalam’s belief in education, innovation, and humanity.
