The Tamil Film Producers Council has three demands for the industry.
- An Eight week window period for big hero movies before releasing them on OTTs.
- No signing of new projects from August 16th until the old projects are finished.
- Shutting down shooting from November 1st if the demands are not met.
The council also said that it is working on restructuring the remuneration to prevent the losses to producers.
It also pointed out to Dhanush particularly for signing contracts with producers but not coming to shoots. “It has been decided in the meeting that in the future, any actor, actress, and technician who receives an advance from the producers should complete the film and move on to the next films”, said the council.
Actor-Director Dhanush hasn’t commented on this issue yet.
