Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi has put an end to rumors about his mother, Anjana Devi, being hospitalized. Addressing recent media reports, he clarified that while she was unwell for a couple of days, she is now doing well.
Chiranjeevi’s Official Statement
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Chiranjeevi wrote, “My attention is drawn to some media reports claiming our mother is unwell and is hospitalized. Want to clarify that she was a little indisposed for a couple of days. She is hale and hearty and is perfectly alright now. Appeal to all media not to publish any speculative reports on her health. Appreciate your understanding.”
His statement came after multiple reports suggested that Anjana Devi had fallen ill and was taken to a private hospital for treatment. Some reports even claimed that her younger son, Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, had postponed his events in Vijayawada to be by her side in Hyderabad. However, Chiranjeevi’s post dismissed all speculation and reassured fans about his mother’s well-being.
Anjana Devi’s Recent Birthday Celebration
Less than a month ago, Anjana Devi celebrated her birthday at home with her family. Chiranjeevi marked the occasion with a heartfelt message, sharing pictures and videos of the celebration. He wrote:
“Amma!!!!! On this special day, we want you to know that you are cherished beyond words, loved beyond measure, and respected more than you could ever imagine.”
The video showed Anjana Devi cutting cakes and spending time with her son Ram Charan, daughter-in-law Upasana Konidela, and other family members.
Chiranjeevi’s Upcoming Projects
Chiranjeevi’s most recent films were Waltair Veerayya and Bhola Shankar, both released in 2023. While Waltair Veerayya was a box-office success, Bhola Shankar failed to make an impact.
He is now set to star in Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta. Additionally, he has given the green light for a project with Srikanth Odela, the director of Dasara.
