Brahmanandam, Saptagiri to tickle the funny bone in 'Kannappa'

‘Kannappa’, starring Manchu Vishnu in the titular role, will feature Brahmanandam and Saptagiri in a track of their own. On Monday, the makers unveiled the duo’s poster, hinting that they are funny forest-dwellers in the devotional action drama.

Pilaka and Gilaka are their names. “To teach a fish how to swim, a tiger how to hunt, and a cuckoo how to sing… What would happen if these gurus came to teach the forest?” the poster says, without revealing much about the two characters. ‘Kannappa’ also features Prabhas, Nayanthara, Akshay Kumar and Mohanlal in cameo roles.

Besides this film, the legendary comedian Brahmanandam will be seen in a leading role in ‘Brahma Anandam’, which co-stars his son Raja Goutham. The film is produced by Swadharm Entertainment’s Rahul Yadav Nakka. This one is expected to arrive at the cinemas in November this year. Recently, Walt Disney Pictures and Pastel Productions revealed that Brahmi will be lending his voice for Pumbaa in ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. Mahesh Babu and Ali, respectively, will dub for Mufasaa and Timon for the Telugu version.
