Marvel Unveils Star-Studded Cast for Avengers: Doomsday

Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and for good reason. The movie not only expands the multiverse saga but also marks the dramatic return of Robert Downey Jr., this time stepping into the iconic villainous role of Doctor Doom. Adding to the excitement, Marvel Studios unveiled the film’s principal cast during a special Disney event held in Italy.

The lineup features a massive ensemble drawn from the Fantastic Four, X-Men, Black Panther franchise, the New Avengers, Thunderbolts, and several original Avengers. From the Fantastic Four, Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing) will be taking center stage. Representing the Black Panther universe are Letitia Wright (Shuri), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and Tenoch Huerta (Namor).

The Thunderbolts team adds Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Lewis Pullman (Sentry), David Harbour (Red Guardian), and Wyatt Russell (U.S. Agent). The X-Men legacy continues with Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), Channing Tatum (Gambit), and Ian McKellen (Magneto) also joining the multiverse instalment.

Additionally, several major MCU heroes are set to appear, including Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Danny Ramirez (Falcon), and Simu Liu (Shang-Chi).

With an unprecedented cast that brings together nearly every major character currently active in the MCU, Avengers: Doomsday promises an extraordinary cinematic spectacle. The first teaser is expected to drop later this month, while the film is officially scheduled to hit theatres on 18 December 2026.
