Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film OG is shaping up to be one of the biggest events in Tollywood. Director Sujeeth locks the film for a grand worldwide release on September 25, 2025. Producer DVV Danayya recently made a sensational statement about the film’s scale and his vision for its release, which created huge excitement among fans.

Massive Budget and Grand Release Plan

Danayya confirmed that OG is not just another star vehicle but one of the costliest films ever made in Tollywood, with a staggering ₹220 crore budget. He said the makers plan an unprecedented wide release across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and major overseas markets. Though he did not reveal exact numbers, industry talk suggests OG may open in nearly 1,000 screens in Telugu states alone.

The producer revealed that OG unfolds in the 1980s and that director Sujeeth crafted a gripping gangster action saga with a never-before-seen scale. “We wanted to create a film that gives a true big-screen experience,” Danayya said. “We built massive sets, shot in multiple locations, and spent lavishly to ensure every frame looks authentic. The response to the glimpse boosted our confidence even more.”

DVV Danayya, who produced the global blockbuster RRR, said he loves mounting grand cinematic spectacles that reflect the charisma of Telugu superstars. It’s time for Telugu audiences to feel proud that our films cross language and regional barriers,” he said.
