Sreeleela to Feature in Ajith Kumar’s AK64 Directed by Adhik Ravichandran

Telugu actress Sreeleela is joining Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film AK64, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The project has already created a buzz in Tamil cinema as it marks the second collaboration between Ajith and Adhik after their recent hit Good Bad Ugly. The team has started pre-production and plans to begin shooting in October 2025. They aim to release the film in summer 2026, setting it up as one of the major Tamil releases of the year.

AK64 Brings Ajith and Adhik Back Together

Ajith scored box office success in Tamil Nadu with Good Bad Ugly, a gangster action drama. Impressed by Adhik’s direction, he immediately offered the filmmaker another project. While Mythri Movie Makers produced Good Bad Ugly, Romeo Pictures now takes over production for AK64, with Raahul as the producer. This production shift has sparked curiosity about the film’s new approach and style.

Sreeleela’s Role in AK64

The big news is that Sreeleela has officially joined the cast. However, reports claim she will not play Ajith’s romantic interest. The makers are reportedly in talks with Srinidhi Shetty of KGF and Hit 3 fame for that role. Although the team has not revealed Sreeleela’s character details, sources indicate her role will hold significance in the story. Sreeleela previously came close to acting in Good Bad Ugly for a role that Priya Prakash Varrier eventually played, which gained attention after the viral remix track Thottu Thottu Pesum Sulthana.

Sreeleela’s Busy Career Across Industries

Sreeleela started her career in Kannada cinema and then became a popular name in Telugu films. She recently appeared in the Telugu film Junior and won praise for her energetic performance in the viral song Viral Vayyari. This year, she steps into Bollywood with a romantic drama alongside Kartik Aaryan. Alongside AK64, she is also working on the Tamil film Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara and starring Sivakarthikeyan.
