A shocking burglary took place at the residence of Telugu actor Vishwak Sen in Film Nagar, Hyderabad, in the early hours of March 16. The thief managed to steal diamond jewelry and Rs 2.2 lakh in cash before escaping.
Burglar Gained Entry Through the Third Floor
The theft was discovered when Vishwak Sen’s sister, Vanmayi, woke up and found her bedroom ransacked. According to the complaint filed by their father, Karate Raju, an unknown person entered their house through the third-floor bedroom and stole the valuables.
CCTV footage showed a suspicious bike near the house gate around 5:50 AM. The footage also captured the thief entering the third floor through the back door. The suspect spent about 20 minutes inside, carefully selecting items before fleeing.
Police Suspect an Insider’s Involvement
The manner in which the burglary was carried out has raised suspicions that the culprit might be familiar with the house. The police believe the thief had prior knowledge of the building’s layout and the family’s routine, making the break-in quick and precise.
Forensic experts and the CLUES team have collected fingerprints and CCTV footage from the crime scene. Investigators have detained three suspects for questioning, but no arrests have been made yet.
A Difficult Time for Vishwak Sen
This incident comes at a time when Vishwak Sen is already facing professional challenges after the box office failure of his film “Laila”. The actor, who was not at home when the theft occurred, has yet to make a statement.
The Film Nagar police have registered a case of burglary and are actively working to identify and arrest the suspect. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
This case highlights growing concerns about home security in Hyderabad’s upscale neighborhoods, with police advising residents to strengthen their security measures and surveillance systems.
