Natural Star Nani is reportedly planning another film with Ram Jagadeesh, the director of his recent legal drama Court – State Vs A Nobody. While there is no official confirmation yet, sources indicate that Nani is impressed with the film and has already locked Ram Jagadeesh for his next project. Unlike Court, which is a courtroom drama, the new film is expected to be a full-fledged commercial entertainer. Further details about the project are awaited.
Nani’s Growing Influence as a Producer
Nani has been actively supporting new filmmakers in the Telugu film industry. He previously introduced Srikanth Odela with Dasara and Sailesh Kolanu with the HIT franchise. Now, he is backing Ram Jagadeesh with Court – State Vs A Nobody, which stars Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Harsh Roshan, Sridevi, Sivaji, P. Sai Kumar, Harsha Vardhan, Rohini, and Subhalekha Sudhakar.
The film’s story was inspired by real-life cases. Initially, Ram Jagadeesh pitched a romance script to Priyadarshi, but the actor wasn’t interested. Later, Ram shared a story about a friend falsely accused of a crime, which led him to research similar cases, especially under the POCSO Act. He co-wrote the screenplay with Karthikeya Sreenivass and Vamsidhar Sirigiri. The film is produced by Prashanti Tipirneni and Deepthi Ganta, with Nani presenting it.
The legal drama Court – State Vs A Nobody began principal photography in September 2024 and was theatrically released on March 14, 2025. The film received positive reviews from critics, praising its gripping narrative and strong performances.
For home viewers, the digital streaming rights were acquired by Netflix, making it available for a wider audience after its theatrical run.
Nani’s Upcoming Films
Beyond producing, Nani has a packed lineup as an actor. He will be seen as Arjun Sarkaar in HIT: The Third Case, releasing on May 1, 2025. He is also working on The Paradise, set in 1980s Secunderabad, and an action-packed project with Sujeeth, tentatively titled Nani32. Additionally, he has a cameo in Palaandu Vaazhga.
