Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film with director Ravi Kiran Kola is officially titled ‘Rowdy Janardhana’. This exciting project is backed by Dil Raju, marking their second collaboration after The Family Star. The film is currently in pre-production and is expected to go on floors in April or May 2025.
Dil Raju Accidentally Reveals Title
The title was accidentally leaked by producer Dil Raju during a recent press meet. While discussing his upcoming projects, he mentioned that both ‘Rowdy Janardhana’ and Nithiin’s film ‘Yellamma’ had completed pre-production. Realizing that the titles hadn’t been officially announced, he quickly confirmed ‘Rowdy Janardhana’ as Vijay Deverakonda’s next film.
What to Expect from ‘Rowdy Janardhana’?
Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, known for Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, the film is set in Rayalaseema. Reports suggest it will have a political backdrop, making it a unique addition to Deverakonda’s filmography.
Further details, including the cast and release date, are yet to be revealed. However, sources indicate the movie might target a mid-2026 release.
Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Kingdom’ Set for May 2025 Release
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda’s much-anticipated film ‘Kingdom’ is set to release on May 30, 2025. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri (Jersey fame), the period drama explores reincarnation, leadership, and betrayal. The film will be released in two parts across Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
The teaser, unveiled on February 12, 2025, created massive buzz, showcasing Deverakonda in a high-intensity role as a police officer. The movie is being produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Creations, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Busy Lineup
Apart from Kingdom and Rowdy Janardhana, Deverakonda is also working on an untitled project with Rahul Sankrityan (Taxiwaala director). With back-to-back films, the actor is set to dominate the big screen over the next two years.
