Global star Ram Charan teamed up with visionary director Shankar for the much-anticipated movie Game Changer. Produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the film released on January 10, opening to highly positive reviews and crossing ₹150 crores worldwide within its first week. However, the film soon became a victim of piracy, leading to serious legal actions.
Pirated Version Leaked Online
Despite its success in theaters, a pirated version of Game Changer was leaked online by a group of around 45 individuals. The film’s team immediately filed a cybercrime complaint to stop the illegal distribution and safeguard the movie’s integrity.
Illegal Broadcast on TV
In a shocking development, a local TV channel in Andhra Pradesh, AP Local TV, illegally aired the pirated version of the movie. M/S Copyright Safety Systems, led by Managing Director H.V. Chalapathi Raju, partnered with the Gajuwaka Police and the Crime Clues Team under the Visakhapatnam Commissionerate to take swift action.
A joint raid was conducted on the TV channel, represented by Appala Raju, who was responsible for the unauthorized telecast. Authorities seized all broadcasting equipment, registered an FIR (22/2025), and arrested the individuals involved.
Planned Negative Campaign on Social Media
The film’s producers also reported a negative campaign on platforms like X, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. This campaign not only shared leaked clips but also uploaded the entire movie illegally, violating copyright laws.
Producers Call for Action
Producer SKN expressed his frustration over the piracy issue on social media. He emphasized that movies involve years of hard work and dedication from thousands of people. He called piracy “unacceptable,” as it severely impacts distributors, exhibitors, and the entire film industry.
He urged the government to take strict measures against piracy and protect the future of cinema.
