Kiara shared a throwback video showing her first dance rehearsal for the song “Dhop.” In her caption, she thanked everyone who contributed to the choreography, including Jani Master. She wrote, “I remember seeing always jani master’s choreography and thinking how are we going to do this, but that’s the beauty of our job, always learning something new.” This acknowledgment caused a significant backlash online as Jani Master is accused of sexually assaulting a minor and is out on bail.

Social media users criticized Kiara for praising Jani Master despite the allegations against him. Many questioned her judgment, calling her tone-deaf. Some critics pointed out that even Jani’s National Film Award was revoked following public outrage after his bail was granted. In response to the criticism, it appears Kiara edited her post and removed Jani Master’s name to minimize backlash.

Jani Master was booked in September under the POCSO Act by the Narsingi police of Cyberabad. He was accused of sexually assaulting a former female employee who was 16 years old at the time. After securing bail in October, he faced widespread condemnation. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting also suspended his National Award for the song “Megham Karukkatha.”
