On Sunday evening, miscreants claiming to be members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) vandalized actor Allu Arjun’s residence in Hyderabad. The attackers demanded that the actor pay ₹25 lakh to the husband of Mrs. Revathi, who tragically died in a stampede during the Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere on December 4. The incident occurred at the Sandhya 70mm theatre, where fans had gathered in large numbers.
Komatireddy Venkatareddy’s Response
Telangana’s Cinematography Minister, Komatireddy Venkatareddy, strongly condemned the attack. On Monday, he visited KIMS Cuddles Hospital to meet Revathi’s son, Sritej, who is undergoing treatment. Along with him, Pushpa 2 producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi also attended and handed over a cheque of ₹50 lakh to Revathi’s husband as financial support.
Addressing the media, Komatireddy criticized the vandalism and urged people not to politicize the issue. He assured strict action against anyone targeting actors and clarified that the Telugu film industry will remain in Telangana, dismissing relocation rumors.
