On Sunday afternoon, several protesters from Osmania University’s Joint Action Committee (JAC) stormed into Allu Arjun’s house in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. They vandalized the property by throwing stones and damaging flower pots. The protesters blamed the actor for the tragic stampede that occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, which resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and left her son critically injured.

Protesters Cause Chaos and Damage

A video from the incident showed several men inside Allu Arjun’s compound, creating chaos. One protester even climbed the compound wall and threw tomatoes. When security staff attempted to stop him, they were manhandled. The protesters also burned an effigy of Allu Arjun outside the house. In response to the destruction, police arrested six protesters, all members of Osmania University’s JAC. They were demanding compensation of Rs 1 crore for the victim’s family. A case was filed for vandalism and other offenses.

Hyderabad’s DCP (West Zone) confirmed the arrest of six individuals affiliated with OU-JAC for protesting at Allu Arjun’s house. The protesters damaged property and clashed with security staff. No formal complaint has been filed by the actor’s family, and further updates are expected from Jubilee Hills Police.

Allu Arjun’s Family Reacts to the Attack

In a statement, Allu Aravind, Allu Arjun’s father, condemned the incident, urging people to refrain from such acts of violence. He emphasized that the law would take its course and that the police had already arrested those involved. Allu Aravind also assured that no further disturbances would be tolerated and urged for restraint in the face of media attention.

Political Figures React

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy strongly condemned the stone-pelting incident. He instructed the state police to take strict action against the protesters, ensuring there would be no laxity in handling the matter. Reddy also emphasized that senior officials should protect officers who were not involved in the incident at the theater.

BJP leader G Kishan Reddy also criticized the handling of law and order in the state, blaming the Congress government for its inability to prevent such disturbances. He called the attack on Allu Arjun’s house a reflection of the government’s failure to ensure safety and security.

Allegations of Congress Involvement

Some social media reports suggested that the Congress party played a role in orchestrating the attack. Photos surfaced showing Srinivas Reddy, the Youth Congress President of Kodangal, participating in the protest. Notably, Kodangal is the constituency of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, leading to speculation that the protest was politically motivated.

Allu Arjun Calls for Responsible Behavior

In a statement on social media, Allu Arjun appealed to his fans to express their emotions responsibly and avoid using abusive language. He warned that legal action would be taken against individuals who misused his name or engaged in inappropriate online behavior using fake profiles.

Tragic Backstory: Sandhya Theatre Stampede

The incident follows a tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, during the screening of Pushpa 2. A woman died, and her son was seriously injured. Despite the woman’s husband being willing to withdraw the case, Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 for criminal negligence. However, he was granted bail the same day. The actor denied allegations that he had disregarded police orders and maintained that the accusations against him were misinformation and an attempt to assassinate his character.
