‘Amaran’ is reportedly continuing its box office supremacy in Tamil Nadu. As of Sunday evening, it grossed an estimated Rs 108 crore in TN and a global total of Rs 244 crore in just eleven days. The numbers as per an Andhra Box Office report.
Industry experts predict that the Sivakarthikeyan-Sai Pallavi movie is on track to cross the Rs 275 crore mark. Whether it can reach the Rs 300 crore milestone will largely depend on the performance of the upcoming film, ‘Kanguva’.
‘Amaran’, with music by GV Prakash Kumar, is going to gross more than Rs 30 crores in Telugu by the end of its run. Without ‘Lucky Baskhar’ and ‘KA’, it would have grossed Rs 50 crores.
Suriya-starrer ‘Kanguva’ is scheduled to arrive at the cinemas on November 14th. Since it is an event film, it could halt the ‘Amaran’ juggernaut in both Tamil Nadu and the AP-TG markets. ‘Amaran’ is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who will next direct a Dhanush movie.
