Speaking at an event to celebrate the film’s successes, on Sunday, director Nag Ashwin of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ fame was one of the guests on the occasion. He expressed his delight at the familial atmosphere of the event, stating, “It’s heartwarming to see everyone here like a big family, celebrating this success. This doesn’t feel like a formal event, but rather a cozy family get-together.” Ashwin spoke of the importance of life experience in filmmaking, saying, “One can’t simply become a director just by having a story to tell. Life experiences are crucial, and Venky’s narrative style reflects the depth of his life experiences, beautifully captured on screen.”
Director Hanu Raghavapudi of ‘Sita Ramam’ fame said that his family members are asking him to handle subjects like ‘Lucky Baskhar’ instead of love stories. “My mother and grandmother watched ‘Lucky Baskhar’ yesterday and asked me to make useful subjects like this one instead of love stories. I sort of became Venky Atluri’s fan after watching ‘SIR’, which had me shed tears,” Hanu said.
