Speaking at an event to promote the Telugu version of ‘Jigra’ in Hyderabad, actress Alia Bhatt said that she wants to work in a film directed by Trivikram Sinivas. She hoped that she and Samantha Ruth Prabhu would both get cast in the film. Samantha, by the way, was also a guest for the event.
Netizens who admire Alia Bhatt’s acting talent are aghast. “Akka, you don’t know what kind of roles Trivikram writes for heroines in his movies. Please don’t make such wishes,” an X user wrote, addressing the ‘RRR’ actress.
Another social media user said that Trivikram’s heroine characters and Alia Bhatt’s onscreen roles are poles apart. “They belong to different worlds,” the user added.
Trivikram has always been criticized for reducing his heroines to epitomes of dumbness. Even when they come from rich families, they have no other job but to pine for the hero.
Alia Bhatt has an intense role in ‘Jigra’, which is scheduled to arrive at the cinemas on October 11th in Hindi and Telugu.
