Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad’s daughter, Gayathri, succumbed to a heart stroke on Friday night. She breathed her last at a private hospital in Gacchibowli.

Film industry personalities on Saturday offered their profound sympathies to Rajendra Prasad. Jr NTR described Rajendra Prasad as extremely dear to him. “I am sad to learn that his daughter is no more. I extend my deepest condolences to him and his family members,” the ‘Devara’ actor wrote on X.

Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan wrote, “The sudden death of Shri Rajendra Prasad’s daughter Smt. Gayathri has been a shock. I pray for the peace of Gayathri’s soul. My deepest condolences to Rajendra Prasad garu and his family members. I wish God to give him the courage to bear the loss of his daughter.”

At a film event a couple of years ago, Rajendra Prasad said that he turned emotional on listening to a song on daughters, written by Suddala Ashok Teja. “I made my daughter listen to the song four times. It’s another matter that I usually don’t talk with her because she opted for love marriage,” Rajendra Prasad said.
