Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, renowned for his The Tashkent Files, The Kashmir Files, and The Vaccine War, is currently making The Delhi Files. The film will grace the big screens in multiple languages on August 15th, 2025.
Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts of Karthikeya 2, Dhamaka and the critically acclaimed Goodachari fame, the The Delhi Files is a two-part project. The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter is the first instalment. “After years of meticulous research, the story of #TheDelhiFiles is too compelling to be contained in a single part,” the makers said.
Agnihotri and his team apparently delved into numerous books, articles, and archival materials, exploring the historical events that form the foundation of the film. “Their meticulous research efforts spanned across 20 states, encompassing over 7000+ research pages and 1000+ archived articles,” the makers said.
Agnihotri’s previous release, ‘The Vaccine War’, was not accepted by the audience. It was flayed for its verbose and extremely conversational style with no storytelling. On the other hand, ‘The Kashmir Files’ was a massive box office hit in 2022.
Abhishek Agarwal Arts is currently making ‘G2’ with Adivi Sesh on a grand scale.
