Chiranjeevi was on Sunday conferred with a Guinness World Records recognition. The Megastar is now the Most Prolific Film Star in the Indian Film Industry in the Actor/Dancer category.
“Chiranjeevi has performed over 24,000 dance moves in 537 songs across 156 films over his 45-year career,” the Guinness World Records adjudicator Richard Stenning said. He added, “After thoroughly reviewing all 156 films and his dance performances, we found this achievement to be officially amazing.” Aamir Khan graced the occasion as the chief guest. “I am honored to witness this historic moment. Like millions of his fans, I am also a die-hard admirer of Chiranjeevi,” the ‘Dangal’ and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ star said.
Chiru said that the moment was unforgettable. “I owe this recognition to the directors, producers, music directors, and choreographers who always made sure to showcase my dance performances in films,” he added.
The iconic actor’s next theatrical release is ‘Vishwambhara’, which will arrive at the cinemas on January 10th, 2025. Director Vasisshta Mallidi has filmed a dance number on Chiranjeevi for the fantasy adventure.
