The Trailer of ‘Devara’ is along expected lines. In a lot of ways, it holds little surprise if you remember the content of the film’s Teaser and know for a fact that Jr NTR is playing not one but two roles. Saif Ali Khan as Bhaira is the prime antagonist.
At about 150 seconds, the Trailer begins with Prakash Raj’s character introducing the Devara saga. Devara, a revered tribal leader, wields authority, shields his people, and terrorizes his group’s rivals. There is a hint that Bhaira, who first pledges loyalty to Devara’s writ, betrays him later. As a smart villain who knows that his enemy is clever, he bides his time.
The other Jr NTR is described as naive and timid. Is he the “right weapon” Bhaira is talking about? Will this character turning against Devara be the cliffhanger of a climax? The trailer ends with a reference to “invisible fear”.
Anirudh Ravichander’s score, followed by some curated action shots, are two of the biggest highlights. Sabu Cyril’s production design is somewhat undone by the semi-dark aesthetics.
The film is Koratala Siva’s biggest bet ever. It will arrive at the cinemas on September 27th in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
