Megastar Chiranjeevi prepares to make a powerful comeback with Vishwambhara, a high-budget socio-fantasy drama that continues to create a strong buzz in Tollywood. Fresh reports claim that the film’s team plans to release it on July 24, 2025, the same date Indra hit the screens in 2002 and became an industry hit. However, the makers haven’t officially confirmed this date yet. While sources suggest they are aiming for the Indra release date, fans still wait for an official announcement.

Vishwambhara sets high expectations with VFX-heavy storytelling

Director Vassishta Mallidi, who impressed with Bimbisara, takes charge of this ambitious project. With Vishwambhara, he collaborates with Chiranjeevi for the first time and aims to deliver a visual spectacle. However, the teaser sparked heavy criticism due to poor VFX quality, which disappointed fans. In response, the team launched a major rework of several key scenes.

To improve the visuals, the producers brought in multiple VFX teams and even consulted filmmaker Nag Ashwin for expert input. Chiranjeevi didn’t stay behind either, he met the VFX team personally and created a realistic work timeline to avoid further delays. The team now works round the clock to meet the proposed July 24 release window. But unless VFX teams finalize and clear the output, the release date might still change.

Star-studded cast adds weight to the film

Vishwambhara brings back Trisha Krishnan opposite Chiranjeevi, adding more nostalgia and excitement for fans. The film also features Ashika Ranganath, Kunal Kapoor, Ramya Pasupaleti, Esha Chawla, and Ashrita Vemuganti Nanduri in important roles. UV Creations backs the project, and MM Keeravaani, the Oscar-winning composer, handles the music—guaranteeing a rich audio-visual experience.

Chiranjeevi’s busy schedule fuels fan excitement

Besides Vishwambhara, Chiranjeevi already committed to two more films, one with Srikanth Odela and another with Anil Ravipudi. The latter, a full-fledged entertainer, completed its pooja ceremony recently. The makers target a Sankranthi 2026 release for it, possibly on January 10, 2026.

With Vishwambhara targeting a sentimental release date and promising improved visuals, Mega fans can expect an exciting ride ahead. But all eyes now stay fixed on the official confirmation of the release date.
