Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali Gets a Dasara Release Date

Vijay Deverakonda has announced a major update on his much-awaited period action drama Ranabaali. The film, which was earlier scheduled for a September release, has now been postponed and locked for the lucrative Dasara 2026 holiday season.

Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, Ranabaali is set to arrive in theatres worldwide on October 16, 2026.

Ranabaali Targets the Festive Box Office

The decision to move the film to October places Ranabaali in one of the most commercially promising theatrical windows of the year. With the Dasara holidays expected to bring strong audience turnout, the makers are aiming for a big opening and an extended theatrical run.

The newly unveiled posters feature Vijay Deverakonda in a rugged, moustached avatar, with the intense visuals hinting at the film’s raw and action-heavy setting.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is a period action thriller set against the backdrop of 19th-century Rayalaseema. The story explores the struggles of the region during the colonial era, with Vijay portraying a warrior who takes on oppressive British officers.

Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo plays the antagonist, adding further weight to the film’s conflict. The music is composed by the popular duo Ajay-Atul.
