Sandeep Reddy Vanga Reacts to Spirit–Varanasi Release Clash

Sandeep Reddy Vanga has sparked fresh buzz around the upcoming big-ticket clash between Spirit and Varanasi with a surprising statement about SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s ambitious film.

Sumanth Prabhas’ upcoming youthful entertainer Romanchakam has been generating interest with its recently unveiled trailer. The trailer event was attended by the film’s presenter and sensational filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who added more excitement with his candid interaction with the media.

During the event, Sandeep Reddy Vanga was asked whether the gap between his upcoming film Spirit and SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi would be sufficient, considering that both are highly anticipated big-ticket projects.

Responding to the question, Sandeep said, “It will be sufficient. There are around 37 days gap. Also, that film (Varanasi) is bigger than Spirit.”

When the journalist continued to ask about the release gap, Sandeep responded in his trademark humorous style. He jokingly suggested that the repeated questioning made it seem like the journalist wanted Spirit to postpone and make way for Varanasi.

His light-hearted answers brought plenty of laughs at the event and showcased the director’s fun side. While both films are among the most-awaited projects in Indian cinema, Sandeep’s comment that Varanasi is bigger than Spirit has naturally become a talking point among movie lovers.

Spirit, starring Prabhas in the lead and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is scheduled for release in March 2027. Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, featuring Mahesh Babu in the lead, is slated to hit the screens in April 2027, maintaining a gap of around 37 days between the two major releases.
