Pawan Kalyan Slams Tamil Politicians Over Hindi Controversy, Chiranjeevi Extends Support

Janasena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has strongly criticized Tamil Nadu politicians over their stance on Hindi imposition. Speaking at the Janasena Party’s 12th Foundation Day event in Pithapuram, Kalyan pointed out what he called “hypocrisy” in their approach to the language debate.

Kalyan questioned why Tamil leaders oppose Hindi while allowing Tamil movies to be dubbed into Hindi for financial benefits. “They want money from Bollywood but refuse to accept Hindi. What kind of logic is that?” he asked. He also expressed confusion over why some leaders criticize Sanskrit, a language with deep cultural significance.

Pawan Kalyan Emphasizes Linguistic Diversity

While criticizing Tamil Nadu politicians, Kalyan also spoke about the importance of linguistic diversity. He emphasized that India needs multiple languages, including Tamil, instead of focusing on just one or two dominant ones. “We must embrace linguistic diversity to keep our nation united. It should foster love and unity among people, not create divisions,” he said.

His remarks come amid Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s opposition to the National Education Policy (NEP) and its three-language formula. Stalin has called NEP a “saffronized policy” that prioritizes Hindi over regional languages. He also accused the Union government of withholding funds because Tamil Nadu refused to adopt NEP.

Chiranjeevi Supports Pawan Kalyan’s Remarks

Megastar Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan’s elder brother, extended his full support to Kalyan’s speech. In a heartfelt tweet, Chiranjeevi praised Kalyan’s leadership and vision.

“My dear brother @PawanKalyan, your speech at Jana Sena Jayakethanam Sabha was mesmerizing. The massive crowd proved the faith people have in you. I strongly believe that a leader who understands the aspirations of the people has arrived. I bless you and wish you success on this journey for public welfare,” Chiranjeevi wrote.

BJP’s Tamil Nadu Unit Joins the Debate

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai also weighed in on the controversy. He stated that people in the state are not against learning Hindi, but they don’t want it to be forced upon them. He accused the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) of double standards, pointing out that DMK leaders’ private schools teach Hindi, while government schools do not.

“People want the freedom to learn a third language voluntarily. Tamil Nadu is ready, but DMK is not,” Annamalai said.

The Bigger Debate on Language and Education

The Hindi imposition row has been a long-standing issue in Tamil Nadu, with leaders like Stalin opposing any compulsory inclusion of Hindi in the education system. The recent controversy highlights the political and cultural divide over language policies in India. While Pawan Kalyan and BJP leaders advocate linguistic unity, Tamil Nadu’s leadership insists on protecting Tamil language and culture from what they see as forced central policies.

With elections ahead, the debate over language, culture, and education is expected to remain a heated topic in Indian politics.
