Telugu Funda’s reveal of the Plot:

Meet Jack, a spirited soul and a freewheeling dreamer wanting to infiltrate the elite ranks of RAW, India’s intelligence force. But Jack’s insatiable curiosity transforms him into a rogue comet, blazing his own trail before he even dons the official badge. Ignoring the rulebook, he launches a clandestine hunt for Atha ur-Rehman, a terrorist as elusive as a desert mirage.

In his reckless pursuit, Jack crosses paths with an angry RAW lead (Prakash Raj), a grizzled veteran whose patience frays under Jack’s meddlesome antics. Jack’s unorthodox style leaves chaos in its wake. Yet, beneath his wild exterior lies a heart brimming with noble intent—until one fateful day, when his zeal ignites a disaster of epic proportions.

Telugu Funda’s take on the Performances:

  1. Siddhu Jonnalagadda: Delivers a strong act. His one-liners and his style of dialogue delivery come to the fore in 5-6 scenes. And he makes us overlook the obvious logical loopholes.
  2. Prakash Raj: When he chides Jack, he looks somewhat like how he looks in those political interviews. Overexposure in the media seems to have taken the zing out of him lately.
  3. Vaishnavi Chaitanya: The actress takes baby steps towards glamourization.
  4. Others: Subbaraju as an IPS rookie is okay. VK Naresh and Brahmaji should have been joined by a couple of interesting comedians. Ali Reza is seen as a terrorist.

Telugu Funda’s take on the Technical Output:

  1. The BGM: Sam CS’ work is average. After films like KA and Pushpa 2, this is not the range that was expected of him.
  2. The songs: Forgettable on the big screen. The montage song during the interval fight is interesting, though.
  3. The cinematography and editing: Nothing much to comment about their cart.
  4. Production values: Budgetary constraints show, especially in the climax. The film refuses to skill even when a defining skirmish is on.

Merits:

The hero’s characterization has shades of Ravi Teja‘s eccentric character from Kick. Although this hasn’t been fleshed out innovatively, Siddhu manages to draw the occasional laughs.

The climax, despite the low-effort action and poor production values, is well-written.

Telugu Funda’s take on the Demerits:

The anti-terror operations lack nail-biting ideas. Despite Jack working in the shadows, the operations lack the novelty factor.

The mother sentiment is half-baked. The depiction of the ways of the RAW is amateurish and downright silly. How is Jack managing to be ahead of the finest men in the RAW remains unexplained.

The story was most likely written in the 2000s when terror strikes and plots used to be always in headlines.

The screenplay fails to integrate the heroine’s track into the main plot.

Telugu Funda’s Verdict:

Jack: Konchem Crack suffers from a severe case of narrative nostalgia, clinging to outdated spy tropes and a predictable plot. While Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s charismatic performance offers fleeting moments of amusement, it’s ultimately overshadowed by amateurish execution, weak technical aspects, and a glaring lack of originality. The film’s low-budget feel and illogical plot holes further detract from the overall experience.
