The Tamil film ‘Raatchasi,’ produced by SR Prakash and SR Prabhu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner and directed by SY Gautham Raj, featuring Jyothika in the lead role, garnered significant success upon its release in Tamil Nadu five years ago. Recently, the film has been dubbed into Telugu as ‘Amma Vodi,’ set to be released in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by Vaddi Ramanujam and Vallem Sesha Reddy.
The trailer for the Telugu version was unveiled on Monday, showcasing Jyothika’s impactful portrayal as a teacher dedicated to transforming government schools in this social drama. Her compelling performance as an individual striving to revive struggling educational institutions has captivated audiences. The introduction of Jyothika’s character as a formidable force against those corrupting the education system adds an intriguing element to the film.
Producers Vaddi Ramanujam and Vallem Sesha Reddy expressed their confidence in the Telugu trailer’s positive reception among the audience. They stated, “We believe that this film, which achieved critical and commercial success in Tamil, will also make a significant impact in Telugu. The director has skillfully depicted the flaws within the education system. Following the completion of dubbing and the censoring process, the film is set to hit the screens soon.”
The cast includes Jyothika, Hareesh Peradi, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Sathyan, Nagineedu, Aruldoss, and others.
