Teja Sajja’s ‘Mirai’ to Stream on OTT Earlier Than Expected

By TeluguFunda / October 4, 2025

Teja Sajja’s Mirai has turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2025 in Telugu cinema. Following the massive success of Hanuman, the young star has delivered yet another ₹150-crore hit, cementing his position as one of Tollywood’s most bankable actors.

The film also made an impressive mark overseas, grossing $3 million in North America, making Teja one of the few Telugu actors alongside Prabhas and NTR to register back-to-back $3M collections at the US box office.

Now entering its fourth week in theatres, Mirai’s box office run has begun to slow down with new festive releases such as They Call Him OG and Kantara Chapter 1 hitting screens for Dussehra. However, fans who missed watching the film in theatres won’t have to wait much longer to catch it online.

Jio Hotstar, the official digital partner, has announced that Mirai will begin streaming on October 10, just 28 days after its theatrical debut. The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, maintaining a short 28-day theatrical window for these versions.

The Hindi version, however, will continue its theatrical journey for now, as multiplex agreements in North India typically require a longer 56-day (8-week) window before digital release.

Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, Mirai features a strong ensemble cast including Teja Sajja, Manoj Manchu, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, and Jagapathi Babu. The film is produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory, with Gowra Hari composing the music.

With its early OTT debut, Mirai is all set to reach a wider audience across languages, extending its successful theatrical run into the digital space.
