From reality show host to Movie Director Ohmkar has a slide for the horror genre. Presenting horror in a subtle manner he pulled off both reality shows and Movies successfully. Increasing the dose of the subtle horror comedy genre and entering pure horror Ohmkar tried his hand at presenting the Web series Mansion 24.
Varalakshmi Sarat Kumar (Amrutha) in the lead role is an Investigative Journalist who is in search of her father Kalidas (Satyaraj) accused of stealing valuable artifacts and gone missing after visiting Mansion 24.
In order to clear her father’s name Amrutha visits the very same Mansion 24 where she meets a watchman (Rao Ramesh) who later reveals various paranormal activities that occurred in that mansion.
The plot opens up at a gradual pace where a series of events of eerie occurrences takes place and Amrutha finds herself haunted by these stories. Despite everything, the watchman tries to save Amrutha from being haunted.
Analysis:
The entire setup of a haunted house/ haunted mansion is seen even from the black-and-white days of cinema. Even though there is scope and depth for Mansion 24 to scare more, it’s been a mediocre one more so-called horror web series.
