Rashmika Mandanna’s ₹15 Crore Remuneration: Fact or Speculation?

The debate surrounding actress remunerations in the Indian film industry has intensified in recent years. While top Bollywood stars continue to command massive paychecks, reports about rising salaries among leading actresses have become a major talking point.

According to industry reports, Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone is reportedly charging around ₹20 crore per film, while Alia Bhatt’s remuneration is said to be in the ₹15 crore range. In the South, senior stars like Nayanthara are believed to be earning between ₹10 crore and ₹12 crore per project.

Now, actress Rashmika Mandanna has found herself at the center of similar discussions. Recent reports suggest that the “National Crush” is being paid a staggering ₹15 crore for her upcoming Hindi film Cocktail 2, placing her among the highest-paid actresses in the country.

The film stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, and reports claim that he is receiving around ₹35 crore as remuneration. Rashmika, who plays one of the female leads, and Kriti Sanon, who is also part of the project, are reportedly being paid ₹15 crore each. If true, it would mean that the leading actresses are earning nearly half of what the film’s hero is taking home a significant shift in the industry’s pay dynamics.

These reports have sparked curiosity, particularly in Telugu film circles. Many are questioning whether a Telugu-origin actress is indeed commanding such a huge fee for a single Bollywood project. Interestingly, several Telugu star heroes are themselves believed to earn between ₹20 crore and ₹30 crore per film, making Rashmika’s reported remuneration all the more remarkable.

Industry insiders point out that Rashmika’s remuneration in Telugu cinema has traditionally been in the ₹3-4 crore range. The reported jump to ₹15 crore in Bollywood highlights the difference in market economics and the value of a pan-India image.

Much of this rise is being attributed to the phenomenal success of Animal, which significantly boosted Rashmika’s popularity across the country. Following the film’s success, her brand value has grown substantially, making her one of the most sought-after actresses for big-budget Hindi projects.

While there has been no official confirmation regarding the reported ₹15 crore paycheck, the discussion itself reflects Rashmika’s growing stature in the Indian film industry. If such figures become the norm, they could redefine remuneration standards for South Indian actresses and further blur the traditional boundaries between regional cinema and Bollywood.
