Suriya Rewards ‘Karuppu’ Team With Luxury Cars After Historic Blockbuster Success

After years of waiting for a major commercial breakthrough, Suriya has finally returned to the top with “Karuppu”, the RJ Balaji-directed action entertainer that has emerged as the biggest Tamil blockbuster of 2026.

Despite facing several challenges ahead of its release, the film struck a chord with audiences and turned into a massive box-office success. Released in Telugu as “Veera Bhadrudu”, the movie is also on course to become the highest-grossing film of Suriya’s career.

To celebrate the film’s phenomenal achievement and acknowledge the efforts of his team, Suriya reportedly gifted luxury cars to key technicians. Cinematographer GK Vishnu received a Mahindra BE 6 “Batman Edition”, while music director Sai Abhyankkar and editor R. Kalaivanan were also presented with premium vehicles as tokens of appreciation.

Reports suggest that director RJ Balaji may soon receive a luxury car from the actor in recognition of his role in delivering the blockbuster.

Adding a spiritual touch to the celebrations, Suriya and his wife Jyothika visited the Pathinettam Padi Karuppanna Swamy Temple near Madurai on Sunday. The couple offered special prayers and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response and success of “Karuppu”.

With the film continuing its dream run at the box office, the actor’s generous gesture has become another talking point among fans and industry circles alike.
