Telugu Funda Analysis

“Pindam” adheres to a conventional narrative style in the horror genre, a formula that has been overused for many years. The concept of a family moving into a new house and encountering a supernatural presence feels exhausted. However, the primary issue lies in the lack of thrilling moments within the narrative.

The first half fails to engage for the most part, with a few interesting scenes that are unfortunately short-lived. Instead, the audience is subjected to standard horror tropes like flickering lights, falling photo frames, and objects mysteriously moving. The jump scares appear artificial and lack impact, constituting a major drawback for “Pindam.”

The film bears a striking resemblance to the Hollywood movie “Conjuring” in several aspects, affecting the overall viewing experience. The length becomes another concern, as the climax scenes are needlessly prolonged. Srinivas Avasarala’s character suffers from weak writing

Performances

Sriram delivers a commendable performance, portraying a concerned family man with excellence.

Kushee Ravi fits her role as a housewife perfectly, leaving a lasting impression.

Young talents Baby Chaitra and Baby Leisha shine in their respective roles, adding depth to the narrative.

Eswari Rao leaves a mark with her impactful portrayal, and the remaining cast delivers performances as expected.

.Technical Aspects

The film boasts a compelling background score, and the locations chosen contribute significantly to the horror elements, making “Pindam” solid in these technical aspects.

The background score by music director Krishna Saurabh Surampalli is commendable, although its impact is undermined by issues in the screenplay. Sathish Manoharan’s cinematography proves to be a strong point, setting the necessary mood for a horror film. While the visuals and production design successfully create the ambiance required, the reliance on age-old techniques hampers the overall impact. Director Saikiran displays promise in certain aspects, avoiding unnecessary elements but falling short in delivering truly thrilling horror elements. A more refined screenplay could have resulted in a significantly improved outcome.

Telugu Funda Verdict

“Pindam” emerges as a standard horror thriller with only a handful of commendable moments. The lead cast delivers strong performances, and the film boasts high technical values. However, the flat narrative is the primary concern, with the horror elements failing to evoke the desired impact. The film extends its duration towards the end, diluting the effectiveness of the few impactful scenes and the backstory. While “Pindam” has its moments, the overall outcome falls short of expectations, leaving much to be desired for a satisfying cinematic experience.
